FinalPeriodPoverty

1 in 5 females in the United States cannot afford menstrual products on a monthly basis. This form of poverty costs jobs, education, and even lives. This model is meant to show how period poverty can affect a young girl even when she is going to school. Every moment a young girl is in school and doesn't receive the proper menstrual health education, she is at risk of missing 20% of her school year which could cause her to drop out. Once the girl is an adult, she is employed and is able to earn some money, but also lose money when it's time to go to the grocery store. Every two dollars that are spent can cause the agent to now be only to afford food, and then once even more money is spent, she is unemployed and has bought dangerous alternatives. She becomes homeless, gets sick, and dies.
